Sharm Voyage was founded in August 1999, when Sharm Voyage Moscow was established as a Wholesaler concentrating the flow of tourists into the up and coming resort of
Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt. In October 2000 our business began to expand, with our first Charter flights from Finland to
Luxor and Sharm el
Sheikh, opening up the business to new foreign markets. Then again in October 2001 our business increased further with the launch of the first charter operation for Kieve, Ukraine to
Sharm el Sheikh, Hurghada and
Taba. This was the first time
Egypt had become an established year round destination for the Russian and Ukrainian markets, thanks to Sharm Voyage's remarkable efforts and expansion during the Summer 2001-2002.
Although at first a small company, our expansion and reputation had grown quickly until Sharm Voyage had proved ourselves to be a trustworthy company in the ever changing and expanding field of Tourism. In December 2002 Sharm Voyage-Egypt was founded in
Sharm el Sheikh, based on a solid business working with our sister companies abroad. The growth of Sharm Voyage-Egypt was rapid as we extended our destinations to include
Nuweiba, Taba,
Dahab, Hurghada,
Safaga, Luxor,
Aswan & Cairo.
As the business grew so too did our Sharm Voyage Team, which played a key role in furthering the operation of Sharm Voyage into the markets of the Italian, English, Turkish, Polish, Serbian, Estonian, Swedish, Finnish, Chinese, Azerbaijani, Georgian and German
nationalities.
In September 2004, Sharm Voyage's work in the Tourism business was officially recognized when Sharm Voyage was awarded the 'Certificate of Appreciation' by the Ministry of Tourism on 'World Tourism Day 2004'. This certificate honored Sharm Voyage for its remarkable effort and impact in promoting tourism to
Egypt. Also in 2004 Sharm Voyage was ranked 3rd in the 'Top Ten New Companies in Egypt 2004'. Once again in 2005, the Company's work was recognized and was rated as 4th in the 'Top Ten New Companies in Egypt 2005' in the ceremony on 'World Tourism
Day'.
Our Story of Success is not over, however, as each year we strive to outperform the year before and continue to expand our thriving business.
